I wish I could become a better poet, Find new and interesting ideas designed to stimulate new growth in the minds of men. Write lines guaranteed to stop your breath, make you stand back and gasp in a sudden realization of what you've been missing in life. I want you to see things through my eyes- Start to experience life. Don't just take my word for it. Get out and do it!! Believe me I've been through it. I would like to make you see that suffering does have it's rewards. That sometimes we do have to fight wars. That beauty is everywhere and that charity is not giving what we have to spare. People are needy everywhere and we can all help. I wish I could stand beside you through your entire life and offer you convincing ways to cope Give you words of strength and courage, tell you anecdotes of hope. I want to convince you of the need to breath Take a deep breath and think. Consider the consequences of your actions, find a new perspective even if it requires a drink. But if it takes two, find a new direction. I wish I could delve deep into every heart Help you find the parts that are pure. Make sure you recognize them,and help you cure the rest. I wish I could hide exquisite words in a couple lines of verse to impart knowledge and understanding when things are at their worst. Pen lines that last the ages Help mankind to always understand that it isn't about ourselves. We also answer as a whole. We do have a collective soul.
