We visited the gay men on the veranda my wife and I traded nervous laughter and looks. So strange to me calling each other 'girl!' suddenly, whirling and crooning to an old Supremes hit another has a fit over some prankish indiscretion between his boyfriend and another blush-cheeked, man-child, loverly she-creatures I love them but, brotherly.

Really, though, who cares? We could care a less the explanation behind it. Put it in the poem. Tell us there. If you are gay, good for you. sweaty boys in lycra are hot!
