Fare Price (Final Version) (Free verse) by Wakeboarder20

Let us not think about difficult things but let us find ways to ease our suffering. Let us not think of the nature of God. But let us sell His image and reputation for a fare price of course. Maybe write a book full of complaints arguing the state of trendy things and whether this and that is Christ-like. Maybe sell a shirt or a coat put a cross on it with some scripture. We’ll sell millions, but at a fare price of course. Let us not think of ourselves but let us think of His love and grace. Let us not just embrace that love and grace but sell it to the world for a fare price.

"Fare price" as in a pun on fair with the connotation of travel (i.e., to heaven)? If so, it might be a little overplayed with 3 repetitions as well as the title.

It is a good topic for poetic examination. I wrote an Xmas poem once like this, something like "you'd think these shelves held souls--buy now! We'll throw in sanctity/and absolution, absolutely free!" So I get what you're saying here, I think.
