Where the Hell Did I Put My Glasses? (Free verse) by Joe-joe

A pen, paper cup and pair of reading glasses lie fastened to a desk in an old unused trailer. The bonding agent? A 10 year old coffee and sugar concoction fashioned wholly from unsteady hands - hands that plugged away each day at an old keyboard, rummaged files for lost memos and reports and thumbed frantically through obsolete versions of the company phone listing - hands that no longer toil for an annual wage but now steadily hold the daily tabloid at arms length.

Fastened to a desk
in an old unused trailer
a pen and paper cup
read like memoirs,
bound there by concoction
of sugar and ten-year-old coffee.

Written by unsteady hands
on an old keyboard,
and rummaged files for lost reports,
thumbed frantically the company phone listing -
hands that no longer toil for an annual wage
but steadily hold the daily tabloid at arms length.

just a suggestion.
