suprised he would chastise: her once eager hands flutter nervously, slow to settle into bewildered rest; compliant fingers startled still, curl as cowards into pensive palms. meek hands seek deeper pockets and are never seen again.

Interesting, I liked the poem. I also enjoyed the occasional alliteration :-)
