Light (Free verse) by Quarton

Light, on a summer night; chased by a child whose hand reaches out--captures the light. Opens her hand; the glowfly blinks, then flies away. In a far away galaxy, a giant star implodes. Like the glowfly, its light goes out; infinite density the strange result. The end of light, like the end of time. A black hole remains, incapable of flight. Child's hand closed, like gravity implied, the glowfly's freedom forever denied.

Like Dovina said nice metaphor.
This shows the duality between human nature and science. Science has no compassion but human nature has its moments.
Your still improving. Which is more than most of us can say.
