Mandrakes (Free verse) by Caducus

Mandrakes flower on the surface. Concealing a poisonous root. All body shaped and soiled It induces feelings of love Which if tasted too much of Will make you sleep forever. I had a lover like this She left herself So I left her snapped Poisoning the insects Who licked her bitter sap Boasting about their kill As I buried the remnants Of her self respect In an unmarked grave in neon land.

From what I can decipher. Your lover had crabs. So you "snapped" her neck and hid her corpse in a dumpster or something somewhere downtown.

I've alerted the authorities. the Feds should be knocking on your door any second now.

The first verse is pretty good but then you get all psycho. Seems to be a trend among young male poem posters. Though you may not be either young or male for all I know.
