Ode to Nicholas Jones (Ode) by lukehanney

Oh Look at my poems, they're the greatest, I write them with ease, Have you seen the latest. Ich bin ein Berliner, So I slag of Begginners, The greatest moment of my life, Was when I caused considerable strife, To a budding young poet named Ray, Hey, Hey! His poems simply were the best, They gave me Cardiac Arrest, The beat of my heart went oh so fast, The excitment of his poems were vast. But I, Nicholas Jones, Was jealous of this unknown, So I told him straight down his ear canal, That his was rubbish and I destroyed his morale. The End THIS IS NOT PART OF THE POEM. I am the mentioned 'Ray' in the poem, I was looking forward to constrcutive critiscm, but Nicholas Jones totally destroyed my hopes and dreams. Thank You for listening I

Nicholas Jones, I have actually decided is now a legend. He became a subject of mine when he pointed out that all I had done for my first poem was copied song lyrics (as I jokingly did). From then on I developed a sort of fake feud with him, which is nothing personal, and he became a source for poems. I have never met him, and am sure that he is a very nice person, but his name just rolls of the tongue and is very poetic. Nicholas, if you are reading this, anything bad I have said about you has not been meant at all...you take it all very graciously, as I wouldn't. Thanks you.
