Black Woman (Free verse) by jroday

Dark am I, yet lovely, dark like the stallion and panther, oh what majestic creatures indeed! I am the color of coal which beautiful diamonds are formed. I am timeless forever was, forever will be. Eyes with the reflection of stars, shining in the mist of night. Strong and proud to withstand the burdens of time. I AM A WOMAN!

Dovina this poem is about one woman not a race and how she feels about herself and how faith gave her the courage to face the uncertainties of the future
