Seamus McGee (Free verse) by TLRufener

I've got a wee little friend, That you cannot see. He stays in my pocket, And speaks to me. Listen really close, Even look if you can. Then you'll hear him sing, The song of the Leprechaun. If you want to meet him, You have to believe. Just buy him a pint, Or two or three. He's a gay little fellow, Wearing a suit a green. Don't be afraid, He's king not mean. Listen closely, And he'll tell you a yarn. About all the cows, The castles and farms. In the green rolling hills, Of Ireland he be. He's not blarney, He's Seamus McGee. Singing his songs, With the pipe and the fiddle. He's very talented, Even though he's so little. I've got a wee little friend, That you cannot see. He lives in my pocket, And his name is Seamus McGee.
