Two Basic Forces (Free verse) by dougsoderstrom

Two basic forces tend to mold man’s character. The evolutionary force drives man with one, and only one, thing in mind……… to protect his own life with little or no regard for anyone or anything else. Contrarily, the spiritual force moves man to consider the needs of others with little or no regard for his own welfare. However, due to society’s overwhelming capacity to meld man into itself, to make of man nothing more than a rather simple extension of its own ignobility, man’s potential for spiritual excellence becomes subverted into something far less gracious; it becomes transformed into a collective force for evil.

Falls down a bit when the child has a particularly accident prone parent which it has to repeatedly risk its life to save its parent. And in evolutionary terms parents are less useful than their offspring (until they themselves become parents). Also complicated in that a parent can protect a number of its offspring at once. Therefore the effectiveness of such altruism would depend on the number of offspring. Anyway in conclusion doug is a dunce.

I would also advise anyone suggesting demarcating areas of human behaviour (Doug) to look at how the brain functions. Try hitting someone with a hammer in order only to disrupt their speech (clue:- you can't). Someone told me brain function was relevant to psychology, maybe not in america.
