a night of solitude (Free verse) by Faulk

Clouds Brighter as I look west Orange rays of radiance smeared across the heavenly ceiling A loon cries softly in the distance Calling sadly for its lost mate As the breeze causes the leaves above me to stir, I look up Green everywhere I can feel it all around me Life, spirit, peace The totality of the silence beats down on my ears like no noise has ever done Completely alone, and happy I stand and slowly brush the dirt from my pants I unzip my tent, all is black The quite tranquility lulls me into a slight slumber The loon cries once more, but this time quieter The sound fades slowly away All is peaceful Sleep

Quite nice.
I'd leave out "heavenly" on line 3, and "lost" in line 5.
Line 6: "As the breeze stirs . . .
Omit "The totality of"
A beautiful scene.
