Love Letter (Lyric) by wilco

A red dress is perfect for crying in a time when crying is bold. And suspicion is second to lying in a summer that’s suddenly cold A note left inside her apartment scrawled with blue blood from his heart. Five years to build up the moment and five seconds to tear her apart. Love, let her down gently ‘Cause she’s quiet and she don’t know nothing ‘bout life. When avenues collide in the city there are sparks and explosions of pain. And you realize that leaving is easy but you know that you’ll still be the same. A wave of the hand for a streetcar and a ride to the end of the line. It’s easier not to go too far so you don’t have to run out of time. Love, let her down gently cause she’s young snd she don’t know nothing ‘bout life. Love, let me down gently cause I’m young and I don’t know nothing ‘bout life.

She's young and don’t know nothing ‘bout life. A good He-done-her-wrong-song. But is crying bold? It seems more an escape from bold. The last verse - a nice switch.
