Crying Beside a Lake (Free verse) by x311

Always and never Are the times it felt right For so long my heart has known But never could it push my mind into action I had so many chances To do what I had longed for I had love for you While I loathed myself Because time had come calling To take what belonged to him Opportunities He stole from me While you were near me I couldn't tell you And now I finally long to As you drift away from me I imagine us side by side As I ponder the thought Reality shows me the truth Of someone else with you I've missed my chance But now I will have you Always never
