To you (Free verse) by freelancejoker

Since the very beginning, I somehow knew that you were the one. Cannot explain the excitement I got, Nor the butterflies in my gut, But it is something, That provided the link. I didn't know what. Funny, Really. As you approached me, And said, "Hi, I'm Y" I can feel my heart pounding, And my lungs exploding. This electrifying experience, Left me in a deep trance, What exactly is this I'm feeling? You went on to intro yourself, And I felt, what the hell! Why can't I be myself? I took a glance at your dimply face, My heart raced. I couldn't control the pace, Or my awkward ways. I was in a daze, And at you, I could only gaze. "Is there something?" You broke the silence and my stare. I shyly turned away, No way could I dare, To steal a second glare. "Its nothing" YOu probed and said "There must be something" You gave me such a scare, You seemed to know what I wanted to declare, and what my heart yearned to bare. What a great opportunity, But I went gritt-witty! A thousand words in my mouth, But I didn't utter a sound. Tongue tied, Lips tight, How I wished to hide, In a hole so wide. You smiled, like you understood my thoughts. That beautiful smile, Made it all worthwhile. I went out of sorts, My body cramped in knots, I was simply dazzled, My heart was weathered. "Sre you ok?" I heard you say "How's the day?" "A beautiful sunny day!" Words within words, A profound approach. You smirked, Your shoulders you shirked. "Ahh yes a beautiful day.." Finally our eyes met, On you I was set. Oh cast me a fisherman's net, For it's you I want to catch. This is outta this earth, Not felt so since my birth. I knew I knew... This must be love...

Soggier than an overly turgid hump-loaf.
