an ode to love (Free verse) by francis nor capule

look , o love, at what you did to this fool you taught him how to care for someone, and took the person away for all this fool ever wanted was someone to love, someone to care for but you truly are fickle, the other person is in love with someone else is this how you work? you spread your bliss to everyone but the right people? if that was the case perhaps everything between us was a dream... a tragedy... for one was left, in sorrow, writhing... and the other one, in hopes, dreaming... but after all this, i promise you... i will conquer you , as i have conquered all... i have never been vanquished, never lost... perhaps now, i would think of things in a different perspective. yes i may be justifying what happened... but know this... i will never turn away from you, love... but be stronger, when you come around. i will master you, and then everything would not be right. for if logic or reason won over love, would it be the same? perhaps in time the answer would be known... for now i cherish my peace.. .

One of the best definitions of love I've seen. I really like, "for if logic or reason won over love, would it be the same?" Bravo!

"you thought him" -> you taught him
