The Angel and The Ass (Prose Poem) by pain killer

If you are an angel Then I am the ass And the ass saw the angel From behind the glass But the glass it was frosted And the ass he caught cold And all that he longed Was for an angel to hold But the angel had wings And the ass he had none He sneezed and looked back And the angel had gone The angel took flight And she flew far away The ass blew his nose And lay down in the hay He dreamed of the angel And all of her kind He awoke in the morning And wings he did find But those wings did not fit And so alas That is the tale Of the angel and the ass

I got the idea of the title from the Nick Cave novel...I decided to write a bitter sweet tale of unrequited love disguised as a childrens poem...i dunno if it works or not...you tell me
