What the hell? I dont want to "fit in" you stupid little insect.
I want to improve my poetic ability, and i also want to see how good i can get at it, hopefully with the help of talented poets from this site. I dont have some goddamn need to feel accepted by a community, I have a real community in the real world in which I belong to. Which is the universe of my duplex with 4-5 inhabitants:
Robert: my best friend and brother from another mother and
father.
Gemini: The puerto rican rappin pimp which is brother to my
adopted sister Isabel aka Izzy.
Chris: The adopted brother of gemini, aspiring basketball star
and womanizer.
Nicole: The neighbor from two duplexes down, who has been a close
friend of mine for about two years. She also at times,
nearly, almost, lives here since shes a common sight with
the overused excuse of sleeping over.
These people are the community in which im accepted as friend and this community has slowly evolved into a strange rogue family
of rebels and outcasts. So, trust me, i dont need an internet website to find a place to fit in, you fucking little ingrate.
And I have been fourteen, and I did and still do wish to change the world. But even then, I would never think that I'd attempt to do it by defending teenage poetry. Why? Because I knew then that such an adventure would have as much to do with changing the world as dating a whore has to do with making love to a wife.
Also, my definition does not encompass a narrow sector you idiot. Poetry has rules and requirements to follow and some certain aspects which much be studied. To be a poem or poet one must know and understand the subtle art of poetry and the rules it has. A couple of these has to do with:
Being creative with expression, emotion, imagery, form, and creatively using language.
When some nitwit writing out his emotions like some bleeding whore dances onto this site and stamps it as a poem, its a fucking insult to poetry and poets.
Now you want us to react to these idiots with kind commentry and acceptance? Even to help those who defend their so called art stupidly without bothering to understand why they were commented harshly?
