Well.. look, im seventeen and ive recently joined, and i dont feel slaughtered.. though ive stepped on some toes while walking around blindly, but ive found mostly good advice and mentorship so far. Then again, i dont think my poetry fits the teenage cliche "art" that tends to arise in our midsts seemingly from no where like a fart..
Secondly, most teenages, once criticised, become extremely offended, and rant about how they write to express their emotions, blah blah blah...
So it isnt surprising if these folks see teenage poetry and decide to make it a form of entertainment.. can't stand the same crap comming out the childs mouth, so mock him, piss on the cloned piece of shit-art, and walk merrily away..
Trust me, teenage poetry doesnt want advice to improve their skill or poem, they want to be heard, and praised for blabbing their emotions with corny lines of rusty rhyme iced on top with grimy fingerprints and sticky pages (Playboy cut out ransom notes) I agree with them, even though i am a teenager, that each of these shitheads should slowly choke...
