Whoa - chill folks... this doesn't need to get heated.
The ranker is probably as good as anywhere else on the net, after all if I'm still learning from the people here (and interested, that's the main thing) then anyone can benefit from being here. But it probably needs more publicity across the net to make people actually aware of its existence. It's proven to have the essential features of a successful site but I don't think people know about it any more. Also, the addition of a 'recommended' list - the best poems of the last week, or month, or however long might make it more interesting for new users.
And yes, alms ought to be sent to kaolin. I intend to when I have some money (ah the joys of studenthood).
Other ideas?
