I used to start throwing things at you, Kaolin, after typing a lengthy comment, only to get the terse "You must be logged in to leave comments." Of course it was my mistake, but it's easily circumvented. Now I just log in, then go back a few times and my comment is still there awaiting a click of "Submit." Perhaps you could change the error message to something more feminine like: "Please log in, then hit the Back button a few times and your lovely comment will be posted."

A decent patch, if I can convince myself to do it. Of course, ideally, hmm. a) it wouldn't let you get in that fix to begin with. b) it would remember where you came from and take you back. c) lollipops would fall out of the sky.

Just need to convince myself to do it.

"One of these days", I need to completely rewrite this place. It's been a long, long time.

Okay, did the above, at least. Or something like. :)

Thank you, that's a sweet, and forgiving text, compared to the Sinner-be-damed message it replaces..

I don't know why you want to rewrite the whole thing, and frankly the prospect scares me. I hope you don't put us all through a debegging process when it is working pretty well as is. Still, you know the guts of the thing, and I don't. But consider, Tomcat has not caused a crash in several weeks now, and the enhancements you've recently made are for the good, I think.

The guts are pretty heinous, and I think the interface is pretty bad as well. Don't worry, though--it's got probably several more years in it, and perhaps several more after that. And any redev would just work off the current db structure, so I could work on it in parallel.

Then again, maybe I just need to redev the front-end anyway.

Not that I have any compelling reason to beyond my own embarrassment. And that it's harder to develop new features on this codebase.

Ugh.
