er. anyone else noticing random failures all over the site?

noticed a rack of them yesterday.
yeah, that really sucked. wound up restarting postgres and restarting tomcat. something to keep an eye on. no idea what was causing it, though postgres did seem like it had coughed up a hairball.
woulda though tomcat would do the hairball... sigh. I know...

coulda been tomcat, but restarting it alone didn't help. which could have been tomcat's hairball lodged in postgres' gullet, or something. 7.4.whatever'smostrecent
jumping from 7.2 to 7.4 on the server move was hell enough, I didn't quite want to push to 8.
Still acting eratically this morning.
But not this morning. Alhamdulillah.
