To date, I've sold two poemranker mugs and a poemranker notebook through cafepress. Thanks to those who've done such. Thanks also to the select few that have, over the last year or so, donated straight. It is all appreciated. Just thought I'd mention. And try to hook more folks on the goodies. ;)

just out of curiosity, why no google adwords? They're unobtrusive and seem to be more or less accepted by the hardcore internet users. I'm thinking of metafilter, for example.

I honestly don't know how much people care about that. I've promised myself I'll not make such a promise again. ;)
well, I'm an ad-hating, flash-disabling, popup-blocking power surfer, and i have no problem with google adwords (text only, no graphics) on poemranker. If you first polled the membership base asking for permission and they agreed, I don't think there'd be anything dishonorable about reneging on that promise.
not that i'm saying you need permission for what you do with your site, but you know what I mean.
Personally, I like the ranker the way it is. All text is really easy on the eyes, and also far less distracting.
...adwords are text only...
Even so, The ranker's lack of ads, is one of it's good points.
Then buy a mug or send some money.
i'd sooner there were some ads.
