thinking while sawin' a few logs (Free verse) by Freethinker1602
As I lay here falling asleep, I think about how much you meant to me. I know I wouldn't smile as much If you weren't here to keep me happy. I have a peaceful sigh because I love you As much as life itself. I beg that you not foresake me from my flaws I wish you could come to hold me, And say you won't let me go. I think of how you've helped me and helped to dry All of my tears and end my fears. I know I said I love you and I besech you, don't desert me! I know I gave you my trust, I just hope that you don't brush it aside. I slip away from these foolish doubts as I sleep, with you no longer here to contort my life. Sadness? Ney 'tis just the beginning of a new denile.
