Painting the Town (Free verse) by dragonfly
His palms contoured my body As the sweet smell of dawn lingered in the air. Never had I wanted to be consumed as I did then. And like a fly with a death wish, I flew straight into his web. And I did not resist. Now every scent that travels in the breeze incites these memories Of the day he and I painted the town. I want so badly to relive them but we came to this agreement And I did not protest.
