Desperately Searching (Other) by airmankeg
I used to dream of you and I still do.
I think about the things I said to you,
And about the beauty of moonlit skies
Reflecting off your most hypnotic eyes.
I think about us cuddling on cold nights
Followed by petty feuds or heated fights.
I think about the waves upon the shore
Crashing, receding, and crashing some more,
Washing away footprints of little kids
Fading out echoes of sweet farewell bids.
The sand washing away makes me think of
Your absence washing away all my love.
I close my eyes while standing in your room
And I can still smell your pleasing perfume.
Your bedâs been empty for so many years
Your pillow stays wet with my grieving tears.
If I could only once touch your soft skin
Forever soothed would be my pain within!
Iâm desperately searching among the waves.
Iâm talking to you in this field of graves.
Iâm hoping I will someday see your ghost
For itâs being with you I miss the most!
In this dreamy state is where I have been
Where waves shall crash upon the shore again.
