Death (Free verse) by Artemis745
Total chaotic quietude Boredom of body, mind, and soul Pointless existence of moment But purpose of life Dripping slowly away The blood of time Coagulates and stops Liquid stagnation gaining power Metamorphosis into wings of glory Trapped in a celestial jar Of impenetrable glass Steel butterfly wings Batter against the sides Oblivious to the open top Up, up and death Down, down and death Spiral in towards death Death, death, death Where is there no death? Why, there is death He walks among us He fears us He despises us He avoids us He penetrates us Death fools us Wanting to feel his importance (But why can't death be a she?) He tricks us, he taunts us Death is nowhere Death is what we want Not who we are
