A decade and five years of thought. (Free verse) by baphomet
Three bundles of tally marks scared onto my soul.
Parented by an iron fist and heart of coal.
From tropical jungle to concrete jungle.
From relaxing warm ocean to sub-temp ocean.
Just met my older brother for the very first time.
Just as eyes met I knew we were two of a kind.
Woken by joy of the snap, crackle, pop, of
Fourth of July.
Cuddled in a green pancho, my brother and I
watched the Bottle rockets and Roman candles go
high.
Months went by and we had made a tight bond.
But when I woke up one day he was gone.
With tears in my eyes I went and asked my mom.
Where is my brother, your son.
She looked at me with a smirk as if I was dumb.
âHe just ran awayâ she said as she went on her way.
No you lie we were supposed to go to the beach
today!!!
On his bed I wait anxiously, for him to come
home and play with me.
But he never came.
Soaking my pillow all day and all night.
I would have dreams of us meeting again turning
into hawks flight.
I guarded his left behind things.
Silly stuff like Nintendo and a book âLord Of the Rings.â
I kept his belongings as if their were gold.
But when we moved GOOD OLE FAITHFUL
took them and had them sold.
And off to Mexico we go. . .
