celluloid cellophane (Free verse) by skaskowski
i cling like cellophane
to each new window pane
displayed from every angle as a transparent film cell.
i'm just events on paper,
i'm just a pink vibrator,
use me when you need to feel as though someone is there with you.
i'm just a shit-faced addict,
i'd fuck myself and bite it
to grip another moment of that mad-eyed luxury.
i never need my senses,
they just betray defenses,
just strip the sequence down to scotch tape and circuitry.
i'm just a memory sequence,
i blip out in an instant,
each synapse fires and smolders out without a single sound.
i'm just your jealousy,
come stay in hell with me
i'll feed your body to the hungry demons piece by piece.
i'm just an hourglass,
my sand falls down too fast
three fragments still remaining in the topmost vial,
stuck to the windowpane
celluloid cellophane
i smash and break the glass and take the last of these with me
