I'm scared When my eyes shut My thoughts stop Some how even though my head is strangely empty All the pain is still there I can do nothing to curb it Nothing to stop it This world I've created behind the lids of my eyes Is empty and cold I fear what my world has to offer When I close my eyes I feel so desolate it gets hard to breathe When I close my eyes And my thoughts have stopped I can cry out and not even I shall hear the scream I hate the world behind the lids of my eyes because The pain is there to haunt me It scratches at the walls of my skull Pealing away at my strength and comfort Lord stop this pain and turn me to the dreamless nights where my eyes shut and the Pain stops and all the world gently lulls me to sleep
