Arousing Love (Free verse) by LuckyJoe
My heart races out of control as it over takes me, Over whelming my every thought, Peacefully changing my very being, Once so tense it was relaxing just from habit, Then along came a new drug, It abounded you, I inhaled your aura deep, To a state of neurotic behavior, All my actions slow executed with tenderness of perfection, Flowing true from every beat of my heart, I inhaled your very being, So powerful the fragrance became that of a mid-February day, What were these feelings that engulfed my body? They took me by surprise baring my soul to you, As you glanced at my inner beauty I could see… Your intellect aroused these feeling, To where I just had to express them, Leaving myself vulnerable for the taking or the breaking. This inner beauty corrupted my nature, Changing my every whim, What could this be that’s so masterful? As it dissipated hiding from view, Shall it ever be sought and dug back up? Or will this thing I didn’t understand be an archeological myth, For myself to remember for life, So now I seek out to uncover this mysteric drug, That I’ve now found to be love.
