One Morning (Free verse) by Joyleaf
In the soft gray light of morning sneaking in through our window, I saw my beautiful baby. You were tumbled into a pile of blankets, keeping deep brown eyes safe from the mischievous sunlight, long black eyelashes resting against your skin. I stole over to kiss you, heart bursting, and quiety laid a kiss on your cheek. Later, I stood waiting for the train that woud take me away for the morning, that memory lingering. I could feel you against my lips, hear you breathe, and see you, still asleep, wrapped in soft layers of memory. (iloveyou)
