The Tide (Free verse) by RWAndersen
' We attempt to love And then hesitate. Reminded of wounds from life's past mistakes. If only this glow, we seem to create, can shine all the time. Yet risks are so great. Love easily vowed, is often denied. Both hurt by the love, alone we supplied. Again now we try, to let one inside. Together in mind, to weather the tide.
