Loaded with Clichés (Free verse) by Blindproject217
Broken fist from sweet revenge. Knuckles wrapped after a vendetta binge. Sleep well tonight, cause tomorrows a better. Sweet dreams tonight, no more running away. Chains rattle with the sound of a thousand locks. Paranoia sets in with the tick tock of the clock. Score to settle, debt to pay. Sweet dreams tonight, no more running away. Be the first to pull the gun. And be a living father to your only living son. The click clack of metal loading led. Any mercy given, and you’ll wind up dead. One shot to kill, two to be certain. Another shot to the head, then draw the curtain. Cover your tracks, hide your entrance. Cant sleep tonight, too much guilt on your conscience. Sweet revenge that comes back fast. Feeling of triumph that just wont last. It’s a disease, They’ll never have a cure for. [i know its cheesy, but i just finished watching Road to Perdition and I just went all out with the mobster cliches.]
