Blood And Iron (Free verse) by intheailse
I can see it in your eyes, when you try to feed me your dirty lies. You give yourself away, by that smile on your face, as you turn away. Your eyes are closed, sewn tight by your father, and his before. Those seeds are sown so deep and far, the voices of the light, are drowned by the dark. Is that all you want? Blood and Iron. Is that all you need? Blood and Iron. You might have thought you'd won, but in the hearts of the people, is fire like the sun. We're not going to stand back, if someone is taking, but not giving back. Now's the end of toleration, ignorance and deliberation, here starts liberation. You've been sitting on your throne, for a lifetime too long, now, it's time your'e gone.
