Dancers (Lyric) by Sailing Solo
Standing quietly gazing into each others face,
they await the music, the first embrace.
Breathing gently yet not knowing how to start,
wanting to love, to capture a heart.
First soft steps toward one's youthful desire,
shy eyes lowered hiding their souls' mortal fire.
Turning slowly as they move without a sound,
each around the other, as pulses begin to pound.
The first touch coming such a magic thrill,
the first deep look, what do the eyes reveal?
Warm cheek to his heart-pounding chest,
the scent of her hair, ardor confessed.
Soft fingers touching a shoulder strong,
their time of passion, the beginning of their song.
Slipping into arms waiting, wanting to possess,
Wanting to find the tingling joy of the first caress.
Hands around her waist so delicate and small,
the wonderment of the moment as shyness falls.
Hands across his back so alarmingly strong,
not sure what to do, what is right or wrong.
Yet holding each other ever tenderly near,
giving into passion stepping away from ones fear.
Eyes lovingly dancing over a temptingly close face,
Breath in light panting gasps as pulses race.
Small sways of the heads as lips allure,
not knowing if the time is right, of love unsure.
Her chin tilted up as her eyes slowly close,
her body graceful in a dancer's pose.
His head bending low to seek her moist lips,
as fire began to flow from their finger tips.
Lips lightly parted, sharp breaths are taken.
the first kiss of new lovers from childhood forsaken.
Dancing to the rhythm of their hearts, a tempo of two,
the world fades away as they learn to live anew.
Two bodies melt together, two hearts join in one soul,
now and forever wanting to cherish and hold.
What is this moment so thrilling and bold?
What makes the never ending story of love unfold?
For from the first kiss they will never be the same,
for first love is pure, ever free from blame.
In the night's soft blanket, the lovers pose,
under a starlight sky as the moon arose.
Soft touches on bodies afire,
Finger tips electrified with desire.
The time to this moment seemingly forever long
They surrender to passion's siren song
