welcome to the ghetto (Free verse) by bxjay170
guns blow its already to late by the time the cops show, homie's lying on the cold concrete floor, everyone says they aint see nothing when the detectives go to every door, its sad to say shortie playing ball might not see another day, drug spots got the streets hot i guess thats the ghetto's plot, i see images of me while walking down the poverty city of the south bronx, kids running around cutting schools acting like fools, can't blame em' i was like that too, thinking it was all about girls and clothes, friends and foes, after all that i realize what i have to do to go, gettin out the ghetto, am just a 17 year old normal ghetto fellow, some dudes never find, all they do is waste their minds, our life's slippling away like slime, get your education homie's and ya will do fine, dont wait now's the time
