he was scared. (Free verse) by blurryphotograph
he was scared
from the moment she walked through the door
his rich brown eyes traveled
every inch of her firm
wanderers legs
up to her
modest virginal breasts
and everything in between.
he was scared
as she passed him
with the scent of mountain air
and he was scared
of the fiery heat that radiated
from her hips.
she danced and lights flickered
she danced and her rhythmic feet
found the rhythm of his heart.
They danced together...
and this scared him.
Later that night
they danced in the bedroom
he hid his fear
behind latex and sheets of cotton.
But her tongue could sense it.
When she thought he was asleep
she whispered the thousand
and one tales
of Scheherazade
(adding her own)
to his waiting ears.
And this didn't scare him.
When she left the next day
he could remember the gothic
architecture of the windows
and the stories she told
but he couldn't remember
her face.
and it scared him.
