Beauty, Beware (Free verse) by Jsylum
Beauty, beware of the Beast, he will come for you tonight. Though neither soul nor heart is fair he is the dragon of this lair. And even if you could evade, the artifice is everywhere amidst this castle of a cage- A dark dungeon, himself ensnared. Beauty, beware of the Beast, he lies awake tonight. His hunger insatiate for either love or hate. If you would do neither, still, you learned too late. He has become enraged- by your teasing, not by fate. Beauty, beware of the Beast you could not escape tonight. Tonight or ever since- not every Beast becomes a Prince.
