My existance (Free verse) by Twisted Wizard
T'was once I asked, who am i? Distraught upon my entire existence. Wherefore I live for this incredible instance, Would you like some wine? For ages long forgotten and untold, My legend has come to be entirely unknown To myself, to they, and to the world. In this lifetime or the next, it all must come unfurled Does not the wind whisper love songs to the unmoving mountain? Then so does my mind seduce my being. So often I see myself plagued and fleeing. From who I am, from who I was, and that which I cannot detain No longer do I know or see what I have become, Nor does the earth turn at the snap of a finger. Pushing on to greater ends, becoming the one, Persuing my destiny without linger. The coming of time would reveal my fate, As much as I could possibly anticipate. It had not come a moment to late, All will see, in the moment I dissipate. Crashing of metal fills my ears, Like so many visions through the years. Staring into the sky, I have felt the pain And know my existence has not been in vain. I have overcome. In those last moments, it was all so clear. All along, I had nothing to fear. They were free, free because of me. This is what now I see.
