Think About It (Free verse) by psychedelic
I think I've heard enough
Of your heartaches, my friend
Don't think I am tired of you
I just want to put your suffering to an end
I hate to see you cry
I don't want you to be hurt
Can't you see that all he did
Is to leave you upset and burned?
Oh, he may have done something special
For him to be loved by you
But it seems he's changed lately
Because you're always black and blue
I want to be strong for you
Now that I see your shoulders sag
From the burden he cast upon you
Making you think life's a drag
I know you will say that
I just don't understand
And it's too easy for me to say
You should go on separate ways
Because I don't feel the way you feel
But, my friend, that's what made me see what is real
It's time you let go of the lies, the fears and the tears
You never deserved them anyway, not in a million years
But it's not for me to decide
What you should do with your life
Only you hold the key
To what the future will bring
So give it a thought, my friend
And put your suffering to an end.
