The Story Of Man (Free verse) by sweetzephyr
Under the abyss, estranged from light
Hidden in the chasm of his own sight
Portend of life and purveyor of death
Like a wounded bird in the iron cage
Half dead, like in an immortal trance
Such is the story of man, who in rage
Grapples with his own ordained fate.
Inside the independence of Iron Gate,
Shut up totally from the external light,
Where only succinct freedom regales
The essence of the caged man genes
Like the murky moon???s midnight reign
Not far off dawn, in the margins of light
With snooty hope, that burns like the fire
And perishes the life in the sands of time
With calm split, as glowing iron with fire
Lit by the uncertain ray of destiny???s trail
