I Cry (Free verse) by casey
I cry,
I cry for the boy next door,
For the boy I grew up with,
For the things we shared.
I cry,
I cry for the my best friend,
For the boy that knew what I was going to do before I knew,
For the boy that taught me to seize the day.
I cry,
I cry for the giggles, the smiles, the looks,
For the laughs, the tears, the memories, the companionship,
For the things I'll won't have again.
I cry,
I cry for the path he took,
For the path away from me, his family, and friends,
For the hurdles he was forced to unknowingly jump.
I cry,
I cry for the things he had to go through,
For the desicions he made,
For how he hurt me and how he hurt himself.
Mostly I cry for what could have been,
But will never be.
I cry,
I cry, but I'll laugh again.
