another funeral (Free verse) by lexicon
"She's holding up so well," they said
Then turned their backs and turned their heads
And left her to her own devices
To sort through developing crises.
No one remained left to guide her;
No one to share what's bound up inside her.
Scared and sad and now alone
Without a hope, without a home
She tries her best to carry on
After the procession and fading carillon.
