Autumn Cried (Free verse) by lexicon
"A lot can happen in a Summer," he said and I thought it had: Relationships started, ended; friendships made; lessons learned... Looking back it was thankfully uneventful. "A lot can happen in the Fall," he said again. The fall happened in Autumn and Autumn cried. But Winter brings real death and it did. And so did Spring, the season of rebirth, renewal. I tried renewing, not just in Spring but all the year. And now warm lazy days have returned. A lot has happened in a year but I hold no hope for what can happen in a Summer.
