OUR FUTURE? (Free verse) by kliq
I gaze into my crystal ball And it tells all We have to expect the worst Now and forever Until then. I see soldiers looking over us Cameras tracing our every move We will be little more than ants Seen in a globe. Dead bodies decaying on the floor People will not raise an eyebrow This is the present. A lost generation from the last world war A civil war is brewing. No freedom, machines follow us. Someones always there. We'll never be alone, love is banned. Respect will be the truth Because love was found to be a liar And cold respect tells us the truth It does not allow us to get hurt. We are ruled by people who comand respect But crave love. Our job is a social silence Just an excuse to survive They'll dispose of you when your job is done And we wont know when this becomes Everyone has a clone No individuality, we each are disposable And dispensable. Babies are created in test tubes They are now made and not burn. To them, this is the real world Not a pitch black fantasy of a crooked man Is this is the way we are going? The sun melts our skin and it melts our heads So we don't rebel If God has abandoned us then he has done it too late He was to blame for everything Now it is our own sick fault He cannot be blamed The bible is kept locked We have forgotten how to read it Writing this has been hard for me Because I can't remember what words are Is the way we are going? Culture is a pickel jar And we wont complain Because this is the way we are going! This is our future!
