Morning Glory (Free verse) by phbiscuit
Gently, soft voice
Betray my presence
And all is for naught,
Let me catch Apollo off guard.
Drunken dawn is my friend
Smoky sunrise my comrade
Mornings my true love.
Stay asleep, soft voice
I saved half the bottle for a reason,
Climbing higher, vision blurred
Magnifys the glory of
The one shameless beast
In this world.
I am the beast.
The sun, my prey.
As long as my eye is upon it,
It cannot escape.
Sweet, soft voice
You have awoken too late
The sun is half past lost,
And I myself have never felt better.
Your stuff is by the bed,
Please leave the way you came,
Only one love may rise and fall,
Hide behind Artemis and still
Leave me lusting for more.
Please, soft voice
Take a pill and wepp
For sunrise is now only a memory,
Of what will come again.
Hand me the bottle.
This tonic speaks to me
And I agree.
Eye to eye, this tonic and I see,
A reflection of my dream is
Within this bottle.
Our hearts ache to be east,
To rise with you.
One in the same,
The tonic, the sun, and I
Shall look down upon
The world and smile as
We bask in our
Morning Glory.
I am the beast, sweet voice.
Sweet voice?
She meant nothing,
But you, my star of wonder,
Shall always return,
Shall always be my one love.
I plan to die blind.
