Seek no more! (Free verse) by vulcan
If you have travelled among the Realms of Gold
And have always believed
Yourself alone,
To be Nietzsche's Superman of the world,
If now, your whole physic worn out
you perceive, you've found the truth
Nowhere but in a Halcyon's sick sleep,
And find yourself biting madly your lower lip,
And say after all it was not worth the sacrifice
and such like curses men pronounce
When they uneasily find,
Their wages after millions and millions of years
Still unpaid,
Now with empty hands you walk.
If like some sweaty miner
after your hellish job, you tell your wife
Diabolically:
" The Employer is but a downright knave!"
If you're no more brave
To shake hands with the Strumpet Fortune,
to say" Ok! That's how the wheel goes!"
And dance with your fellowmen on a dancing earth,
if you seek perfection and nothing else
Move on no more, but sit still!
Go find a bench on the beach
(if there's none, sit on the sand!)
Look straight into that Dizzy Face,
Move your travelling helpmates to and fro,
In harmony with the waves!
Find earth, Sea and Sky all in one bed
In Majesty wed!
"Soft now, Soft!" you're no more forlorn
you have before your eyes,
the Perfect dream of Perfection born!
