lost at sea (Free verse) by Freethinker1602
A storm blew in in under a minute it happened so fast we got caught up in it we held tight to the rail but how strong was the gale are we gonna weather this thing together you put you arms around me and held me to the ship it rocked and pitched but you held me tight in this storm the seas were crazy but some thing about you not just you, us seemed so stable, so sane and constant it isn't for sure if i would have stayed aboard or been lost to the sea but one thing is one hundred percent I am still here because you kept me and now in this bitter hour in the calm of the storm I wonder coud it all be for naught the tension sizzles in the air we stand apart staring each other down what was said in our time of turmoil is the subject of this bitter hour is there a way back to normal if there ever was a normal here comes the storm again but this round is more forgiving you held me tight again and I knew you could never let me go around us winds howled rain stung our skin but still you held me kept us together kept us safe now the storm is gone and we lay huddled on the planks vulnerable, soaking and slightly battered but together fulfilled and content and profoundly closer, trusting each other we are each others confident our other half
