Dancing with the Devil (Free verse) by Liam Wallace
I'm dancing with the Devil In a smoke filled room. My ears filled with voices Crying in the gloom. It's a Dance that I've been learning now For many a year. yet I still stumble badly And always will, I fear. I wish I knew the purpose Or least what mark I'll make. Will I leave behind some value? Or do I only take? Do I underrate my heart? And overprize my mind? An ape who crawled out of the mud Who aspires to the Divine? Are we the Spawn of Angels? Or just Darwin's Random Chance? Are those answers yet awaiting At the End.....of the Dance? Liam
